By combining brand new hardware with first-class second-hand computers and the latest software upgrades applicable, FAIR aims to become a premier ICT supplier providing world leadership in cost effective computer networks and communication solutions. Organisation profileFAIR is a Nordic non-profit NGO aiding developing countries by supplying resources within ICT, such as hardware, software, training, information and support. FAIR was established in 2002, and the name is a recursive acronym for Fair Allocation of Infotech Resources (referred to herein as “FAIR” or the “Organisation”). The Organisation focuses on streamlining logistics in the ICT redistribution process, development of software and hardware, public communication and political work. The Organisation consists of highly experienced computer scientists, product developers, communication experts and entrepreneurs. Exported computers are pre-installed and on-site installation, training and support are offered to the recipients. The Organisation's recipients thus far are schools in Eritrea, Kenya, Gambia, Zambia, Madagascar, Burundi, Cameroon, Tanzania, Uganda, Guatemala, Sri-Lanka, Indonesia, Georgia, Serbia-Montenegro, Romania, Russia and the Dominican Republic. The Organisation is currently in cooperation with the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, NORAD, the Norwegian Pollution Control Authority, 80 Norwegian the Ministies of Education in our recipient countries, as well as several NGO's in our recipient countries. The Organisation conducts its operations from two main operating facilities located in Oslo-Norway and from its national organisations in Copenhagen-Denmark and Stockholm-Sweden.
