Dowa Secondary School is a government school, located near the important town of Mponela, Dowa. The ICT centre established at the school was part of the first pilot phase of FAIR's partnership with NICE in Malawi.

After the initial 2 years where NICE provided the maintenance for the school, the responsibility of equipment maintenance has been officially with the school. FAIR and NICE, however continue to be in touch with the school and the centre was assisted with newer computers in 2017, as well as collection of broken or outdated computers for e-waste collection.
